WHAT are your options

MEDIUM RIGID VEHICLE LICENCE

Allows you to drive a vehicle up to 18,000kg or a combination vehicle up to 12,000kg.

LEARNER LICENCE

This is a computer based theory test. We can provide full training for this.

FULL LICENCE

You can hold your learners for 6 months and do lesson based training to pass test with testing officer, or you can do a Unit Standard based short course, which includes practical training and assessment, to fast track your licence.

Duration

Approximately 3 separate days, depending on prior experience and allowing for your schedule.

Prerequisites

  • Class 1 Full Licence held for over 6 months.
  • Driver's medical from your GP (if you haven't lodged one in past 5 years).

MEDIUM COMBINATION VEHICLE LICENCE

Allows your to drive a combination vehicle with a combined weight of more than 12,000kg but not more than 25,000kg.

LEARNER LICENCE

This is a computer based theory test. We can provide full training for this.

HEAVY RIGID VEHICLE LICENCE

Allows you to drive a vehicle over 18,000kg.

LEARNER LICENCE

This is a fee to upgrade your licence when you've held a Class 2 full licence for a required amount of time.

FULL LICENCE

You can hold your learners for 6 months and do lesson based training to pass test with testing officer, or you can do a Unit Standard based short course, which includes practical training and assessment, to fast track your licence.

Duration

Approximately 2 separate days, depending on prior experience and allowing for your schedule.

Prerequisites

  • Class 2 Full Licence for 3 months (over 25) or 6 months (under 25).
  • Driver's medical from your GP (if you haven't lodged one in past 5 years).

HEAVY COMBINATION VEHICLE LICENCE

Allows you to drive a combination vehicle of more than 25,000kg.

LEARNER LICENCE

If you sat the learners Class 3 then it is a fee to upgrade your licence to a Class 5 learners, otherwise you'll need to do the computer based theory test, which we can provide full training for.

FULL LICENCE

You can hold your learners for 6 months and do lesson based training to pass test with testing officer, or you can do a Unit Standard based short course, which includes practical training and assessment, to fast track your licence.

  • Class 4 full licence for 3 months (over 25) or 6 months (under 25).

Forklift & OSH CerTIFICATE

To operate a forklift on a road an F endorsement is required. To operate a forklift in the workplace you must have current OSH Certificates.

Duration

1 day course

Pre-requisite

  • Class 1 Full Licence for F endorsement.
  • Over 16 years of age for OSH Certificates.

 

Rollers  |  Tracks  |  Wheels

Any combination of Rollers, Tracks or Wheels endorsements - theory and practical.

Duration

Half day course

Prerequisite

  • Full Class 1 Licence.

 

Vehicle Recovery

This licence allows you to operate a vehicle in a vehicle recovery service, e.g. a tow truck.

DURATION

1.5 day course

Note: Application can take 6-8 weeks to be processed.

Prerequisite

  • Class 1 full licence for more than 2 years

Passenger

People who hold a P endorsement can drive buses, taxis, shuttles, dial-a-driver & private hire vehicles.

A small passenger service vehicle has a maximum of 12 seats (including the driver).

A larger passenger service vehicle has more than 12 seats.

To drive a small passenger service vehicle you need:

  • A current P endorsement
  • Driver identification card
  • Current licence of the appropriate class

To drive a large passenger service vehicle you need:

  • A current P endorsement.
  • Current licence of the appropriate class for weight of the vehicle

DURATION

1.5 day course

Note: Application can take 6-8 weeks to be processed.

Prerequisite

  • Class 1 full licence for more than 2 years

Dangerous Goods

A D endorsement is required with carrying dangerous goods for hire or reward.

1 day course

  • Hold a current New Zealand driver's licence
